Sadly Nothing in a Dream | What does it mean when I dream about sadly nothing?

I was working in an environment of importance. It was a facility that could be locked down. I thought that everything was locked up, as I knew that someone was coming to cause me or someone else harm, but the person gained entry anyway. The person was a woman with a gun. We wrestled and fought. I got the gun from her and pistol whipped her in the head, actually cracking the gun handle over her skull. She was badly injured, and even though she had sought to harm me, I felt terrible for her. I was pretty beaten up myself. (I remember that my work attire was very nice.) After arriving home (in a convertible sports car) with two other women in the car with me (who disappeared from the dream, without notice, after the arrival home), I went inside. The house was very lovely in a European sort of way. A man broke in. I knew him from something that hadn't gone well for him. He was not an employee of the company I worked with. There was a sense that his anger stemmed from some action that I had been a part of at work. He had a large rifle. I had two children. One was a baby that I was about to feed. Once again I was in a position of having to defend myself. We fought (as with the dream above, I was trained to protect), and the man grabbed my child. He had the gun and I feared for the childs life. He decided not to harm the baby and put her down. We fought furiously. He left and I was really beaten up. My husband arrived home after his flight arrived from a business trip that he had been on. He noticed that I was injured, but failed to see how badly. I dressed for work the next day, but not in the usual fashionable manner. One of the older women noticed and said that something must be really wrong because I never dress like that. I had difficulty moving or sitting and remember sitting on the edge of my seat and crying (which was very out of character for me). I feel that there was another altercation in this dream. My job responsibilities were affected and I had to try to redo what had taken much effort to complete in the dream.
