By malusinfantia Virgo Changed Man? (Psycho Father Dream) My father was a terror to grow up with. I don't remember the first 10 years of my life, likely on account of some of the **** he pulled. But these days he's an excellent human being. Compassionate, kind, loving. That's why I was really confused by this dream. My father, mother, myself, and some other person were eating dinner. My mom made some comment to her about something or another. It was off-handed and snarky....but nothing terrible. My father said something like "You (insert last name here) folk are some goddamned mean people" and then he started freaking out, throwing things and breaking things, and getting that glazed psychotic look he used to get when I was a lad. I remember he picked up a bowl with some food in it, and shattered it upon the groun to puntuate his pre psychotic rage statement. I remember feeling a terrible anxiety and rage, and fleeing the house (not the home of my childhood, or any place i recognized). I ran into some kind of barrier...like stakes and plastic sheeting...the kind of thing some one might set up as temporary fencing. I took out a knife, and started cutting at it, but I remember accidentally cutting myself as I flicked open the blade of my knife. I cut the plastic sheeting to tatters, but ended up having to go back in the house for some reason. That's when a black man that looked nothing like Rev. Jesse Jackson, but whom we [everyone in the dream seemed to recognioze him as] called Rev. Jesse Jackson walked into the area where we had been eating. He was coming up to say something to me when my father said something like "What're you doing in here, boy" and that's when i woke up.
