For the past 3 weeks I have been constanly waking up two to three times a night because each time I go to sleep Slenderman shows somewhere in my dreams and every time he tries to grab me is when I wake up. I honestly do not believe fully he is actually a physical entity but the way things are going with the lack of sleep my mind is already starting to play tricks on me while I am awake. The part that is most disturbing is that when this all first starting happening I did not know who he was and I started having nightmares of a faceless man stalking me and the first dream I was in a huge mall parking lot and it was in the middle of the day and there were tons of cars around but their were no people around. I remember I was there to buy some fishing gear at the ****'s Sporting Goods store at the mall by me. I got to the door and it was closed and I shrugged and started heading back to my car to head to work and I opened my door about to get in and I felt a hand grab my shoulder. I turned my head and there was a man that was bald and extremely pale and about 7 feet tall and fashionably dressed in business attire but he did not have a face. Igrabbed his hand and tried moving it away from my shoulder and he slammed me against the car an the daytime turned to night a I felt paralyzed and could not moved and he somehow yelled even though he did not have a mouth with a high pitched noise and that is when I woke up.

I had a few more dreams like that for a few nights and I have been seeing a stress management therapist because I have been having issues at work but that has been for a while and a psychiatrist because I am bi polar and have been taking the same medication for over 15 years now. I mentioned the man I had been seeing to my stress management therapist and he told me it sounds just like the Slenderman. From there Ii looked up who he was and he looked exactly like what I hadseen in those dreams. Lately the dreams have been getting worse and worse and I till cannot get more that 2 and a half hours of sleep between dreams But here are two of the worst ones I have had in the past couple of nights to see if anyone may have any input of what they may mean.

This was from last night:

I was on a boat that was going down a river in the moutains with both sides having hills going up about 12 feet. Everything seemed fine but after a while of cruising down on both sides of the river on the hills there were a ton of people that stood there looking at me and they wre all wearing old time likepioneer clothes like the woman were wearing bonnets and dresses an the men were wearing vests and white shirts and hats. But they all had no faces and were all pale white and facing right at me. The boat kept drifting down and I turned back to look at them while it was drifting away and when I felt it was safe I turned away and looked forward an Slenderman was right there wither his tendrils on his back waving and I was too scared to move and he grabbed me by the throat and I then woke up.

The worst dream was two nights ago:

I went to bed and I did not know I was dreaming because in the dream I was in my same exact bedroom and everything was exactly the same as it was when I went to sleep.I just thought I was there laying waiting to fall asleep still. He ten just walked into the room. No tricks or anything he just walked right in. He then stretched his arms and legs and his tendrils came out of his backand he held me down on the bed and it really felt like he was physically holding me down and I was in fear for my life. A mouth started to form on his face with two giant fangs on the top and lower jaw and as he snapped I was able to push back once and I literally woke up while practically jumping out of my bed.

I am at a loss what I can do t stop these dreams to get some sleep becaue ever since then too I have developed an extreme phobia of the dark thinking something can get me at any time and practically going out of my mind. My stress management doctor really had nothing to say which is why I am looking else where and my psychiatrist wants to try new meds. The native amercian shaman my father sees every week when he goes to sweat lodges too says to draw pictures of slenderman which I have done and to meditate and burn sage and smudge the room from negative energy but nothing is working so I thought I would give this a try to see if I could get any good solid advice on what to try next.
I do not believe Slenderman is a real physical being but more of a pyschological one. But if he is real by any means which by now I am not keeping out of the books from what has been happening, I do not know why he would be haunting my dreams.

Thank you for reading this and for any input you may have.

Hi. I read your story just now and I think I could help. The same thing happened to me a couple weeks ago and It only lasted a few days. Mine always ended in high pitched noises. If your still having problems remember he's not real and your mind is just playing tricks on you since you have already heard about him.

Thank you for the advice :) Since I last posted this I went to a different therapist. He had ideas that made more sense. He felt that all I was and still am seeing is the faceless man but not the Slenderman. The only reason I ever thought it was him was because of the last guy I saw just jumped to that conclusion it was Slenderman. That and after I told him time and again that I could not sleep and he just came to the conclusion that ghosts were in my house. At that point I had to seek help elsewhere.

But from what the therapist I now have better trust in feels is that the faceless man represents something that is missing or unaccomplished in my life that is causing me excessive amounts of stress and hindering from progressing. I have learned more to accept the faceless man as my subconscious and try to find how to get past what is causing the problem. Since I started to face the problem the dreams I still have with him he rarely tries to hurt me anymore. Still creeps me out but at least it is better.
