By sadfox Virgo The Fall (Being Chased Dream) I walk down a broken street engulfed palm trees to my right a row of shops to my left, black and lifeless a playground, the silhouettes of children playing imprinted on the brick ashes to ashes indeed this is something that is lost never to return It is like Pompeii but much more powerful the power went out sirens sounded then the flash we ran not many could find sancturay I walk to a school...a classroom duck and cover was tried but heat over takes leaving the outlines of children on the brick wall as they cover their tiny eyes cowering under their desks as I walk from the school I feel a chill I walk to the ghetto where drug dealers and prostitutes thrive all were alive not affected by the blast walking around as they pleased not affected by the heat...the suffering sticking needles as the world burns...bleeds I leave there stunned and saddened what a future finally I gaze at myself from a mirror in an old barber shop it appears I am an old man the gray hair has been singed from my head my hand is missing fingers I guess they were burnt off in the blast dress shoes now are my body the white suit I have tattered and tainted pure white stained go to the beach I say to wash off my face, to bring out any semblance of humanity the carbon body of a young boy who was collecting seas shells lay in my eye line getting washed over by the tide I try to cry but my tear ducts are dry I must have cried before I do not have enough tears for all of humanity what a sad thought the shells are scattered around him in chaos he is so innocent so pure he did not deserve what was coming to him bombs are in the hands of young children I thought and he is more mature than they are I looked into his blackened and glassy eyes they blink once twice a third time in shock I step back in a shattered voice he screams HELP ME!!!
