Dreams can provide insight into our deepest thoughts. Using dream interpretation to explore dream symbols and uncover a dream's meaning can lead to a better understanding of ourselves.
Last night I had a dream I went camping at the beach, which is odd because that is something I haven’t done in many years. After pitching my tent in a secluded little spot, I ******** off my clothes, and headed down the winding trail through the brush and tall grass to the beach. When I reached the edge of the soft sand I didn’t even pause to give thought about being there naked, even though it was a public beach that wasn’t clothing-optional. Then I noticed, as I was strolling across the sand, that there were no other people around, so it really didn’t matter that I was naked.
When I got to the water’s edge I continued walking on into the surf. When the water was over my waist I remember having two very clear thoughts: the first was that the water was much warmer than it should have been, and the second was that the water was unusually calm. I waded in the water for a while, before returning to the beach. I strolled through the loose sand ‘til I got back to the trail I came down, and decided to return to camp.
When I got back to the cozy little spot where my campsite should have been, it had strangely disappeared. Miraculously in it’s place sat an established campground, with several occupied sites. There I was standing naked in the middle of a campground with no way to get dressed, so I walked without shame to the nearest site with a travel trailer in it. The occupants, a really sweet elderly couple, were still setting up camp. By coincidence, they were nudists also, though they were dressed at the time.
And that’s when I woke up …
Something else that I thought was rather odd, is the whole dream seemed to happen in a very short amount of time. It was almost like looking at 6 or 7 consecutive Polaroid snapshots and experiencing what was in each of the scenes – if that makes any sense.
One thing that I find interesting is that I’m always able to walk in all my dreams, even though I’ve been in a wheelchair and unable to walk for twenty years.
