I was sitting at a table, with people who I didn't know all around me. There was food, wine, candles on the table with the nicest tableware. To paint a picture would be of an old movie where the whole family would feast on thanksgiving. It seemed festive, everyone was eating, sharing stories, laughing, having a good time although I didn't know any of them. I felt different, I surely didn't belong here, and I had this ..feeling inside of me that something bad was about to happen, that I am going to die.
Looking to my left, I saw a man noticing my discomfort, and he offered me some of his wine to ease me up a little. I drank the wine, and felt a little better, but I still couldn't shake that awkward feeling. He knew this, and offered me another person's wine. Again, after I drank it, I felt better, but again, only for a short duration.
This continued until there was no more wine left, and the anxious feeling kept growing inside of me while no one else except this man to my left cared or even noticed me. Everyone else was still having a good time.. Eventually I fell to the floor, gripping my chest in pain. No one bothered to help as I laid there, dying. I saw the man bending over me, looking me straight in my eyes, and as I died, I woke up..
The most important part of this dream is "As I died, I woke up".
You are moving beyond your ego to a more conscious way of living.
The ego sees this as a threat; and registers it as a death.
