Dreams can provide insight into our deepest thoughts. Using dream interpretation to explore dream symbols and uncover a dream's meaning can lead to a better understanding of ourselves.
| Out of the history of my dreams , this one was the strangest experience I had ever experienced with my dreams. This dream literally involves my death, and not a wounding like some of my other dreams, and not a "near" death or "about" die moment. I actually died.
I was running through a greenhouse with my boyfriend, and my friend bryan and my Ex fiance Nikki. We were being chased by zombies, or goblins, it was hard to tell since they were kind of like both, more like Orcs, but they seemed to be undead in their movements. After a short battle, I had an axe thrown into my head, in which I fell down, bleeding. My boyfriend came over to me while I was dying, and he told me to hold still, and that I was going to be okay. I was crying at this point, unable to move, and having no control of this dream. He removed the large battle-axe from my head. Then I died.
I remember seeing the light, as if everything began to fade to white. I remember calling out to my boyfriend, telling him how much I loved him, but he couldn't hear me. I felt myself crying, a tearless cry, knowing my body was there dead, and I wanted to tell my boyfriend I loved him, but he couldn't hear me. I began to float, as if having an out of body experience, my soul (I believe) escaping my body. Watching them pick my body up. I could remember feeling how warm the light was, just as if it were the sun on a clear day. But I also remember feeling nothing. As if my body couldn't even feel itself breathe. There was the sensation of absence, unable to even recognize I had a form, or even recognize I was even existing, but I knew I was there, somehow.
When I woke up, I woke up bad. For the first time in the history of dreaming, I woke up crying. My boyfriend at the time must have woke me up from this dream because he was already awake. He held me in bed real tight and I asked me what was wrong, but I didn't have the strength to tell him anything while I cried really hard. I told him I loved him. And at the time, that was all I needed to say.
I told him my dream. And how it made me feel so terrible. He reminded me he loved me too, and his thoughts on my dream were, that I may have actually been dying. That because it felt so real, I may have stopped breathing for a moment, and I was awoke, back to life. Who is to know? |
