Dreams can provide insight into our deepest thoughts. Using dream interpretation to explore dream symbols and uncover a dream's meaning can lead to a better understanding of ourselves.
My dad is in the Army, and every time he gets deployed, im always worried about him not coming home. Well thats exactly what my dream(more like nightmare) was about.
(my dream ->) My parents are hugging each other crying, saying goodbye, im crying sitting in the car, hes in his uniform, ready to go to iraq. When my dad says goodbye to me, i yell and say "You don't have to go! Tell your friends, that your busy! That you cant go!" He laughs and says "I love you, I always come back, dont I? I promise i'll come back."
Well after he left, my mom and I were driving home(me in tears). When we got home, we watched a movie(to get my mind off of him gone). Then I go to bed and then I woke up(in my dream) and then I played with my kitty(Skittles). Then I hung out with my friends, I spent the night at my friends house, when In the middle of a movie, my friends house phone rang, my friends mother answered, and she called me over to her, then she handed me the phone; it was my mother, she was hysterically crying, she said that I needed to come home, that something had happened. Well when I got home, my mother ran up to me and hugged me, she then said "honey, something happened... Daddy... died in a plane crash" I broke down, screaming calling her a liar. I ran inside and there were two men(the men that tell familys that they have lost someone), I fell to my knees, saying "Why?! Why did you go!? You broke your promise!" My mother ran inside and held me(both of us were crying), she said "everything will be all right!" I wanted to cuss at her, to tell her "My heart is broken and destroyed just like that plane!" but I woke up before I had the chance to.
When I really woke up, my light was on, and my dad was sitting on my bed, looking at me, I had tears in my eyes, when I hugged him, he said "Whats wrong?" I just said "everything is fine now"
