i had a dream last night and it was so powerful i wanted to know what it meant. first i was in afghanistan and an enemy sniper had killed all but three of my marines and i was frantically searching for the sniper rifle one of my dead marines had been carrying, when i couldn't find it i was suddenly back home. when i returned home my mother said she was taking me to see a doctor. when i arrived at the doctor's office it was our cities morgue. i found myself in a lonely hallway inside the morgue scared out of my mind, i didnt know what to do so i crouched down on my knees. when i did a lady opened a door, looked at me with a very uncomforting look. she closed the door and a little girl came running down the hallway to me. when she got to me she gave me the biggest hug she could muster up. this was extremely comforting in this lonely hallway. i proceeded to walk to the end of the hallway and when i was almost to the end i met an elderly but able-bodied elderly man with kind blue eyes and a leather jacket; he smiled at me and took me outside where we and a couple other people played basketball. this comforting moment soon ended when we were all called to meet in the front of the morgue. i was standing next to my mother that was sobbing uncontrollably. i started crying too because i knew i was there to die. there was an announcer out front that started calling the names of all the people to be killed/euthanized.he calling off the names of some people and a few marines who were in the dress blues; i was the last name to be called. i walked up with my head down. next thing i know im being pricked with a needle and become EXTREMEly tired. when i woke up i was on the most perfect beach i could ever imagine with a ship right off the shore. after a while i started crying because i knew i was dead and everybody that i knew was gone. i pulled my phone out of my pocket and text my best friends and no replies. i sat back down because i started thinking about my father. i remember missing him so much and feeling so much shame for not talking to him before i died. soon after my brother (we're identical twins) and a couple other people i recognized (some in the military with me) showed up with firewood. they layed the firewood down in a pit, and asked me what's the problem? i said i missed my dad and how horrible i felt for not saying goodbye. they picked me up to my feet and took me to a car. we drove away and were soon back in my home town. only it was very different. the houses that were weathered and tattered were beautiful houses. the last thing i remember is being out in front of an old gas station where i used to stop before going to work early in the mornings, and sobbing uncontrollably staring at my phone wishing so bad that i could talk to my dad.
