I was at my friends house where they live with all of their family and they have two dogs. i had been there and then i went to a room to get changed because we were going to a party but then one of the dogs came in and it was a little dog. the dog got this blanket and started eating it but like swallowing it sort of like how a snake eats. and i was telling the dog off and saying it should stop but it didn't stop, so then i just started pulling the blanket back out of its mouth, all throughout this it wasnt like crying or anything it was just sort of standing there. so at first when the blanket was coming out it was obviously covered in like saliva but then it started coming out bloody and i was like wtf. and i was scared and then it stopped coming out with blood and started being covered in puss and then i got it all out but like i said it didnt seem in pain and wasnt crying or fighting back or whatever. but then the dog was like dead, but it was still standing up it was like it had turned into a statue and its mouth was so wide from where the blanket was coming out. and the family was obviously so upset with me and then i was saying i was sorry but i only thought what i was doing was right because it shouldnt have been eating the blanket and that would have been bad for the dog, and then they all were saying how they were sorry they were so hard on me and i did do the right thing and stuff like that. im like so scared and so confused i actually feel like crying. i even feel like ashamed
That sounds like a handful of dreams I have had lately, and in all of them the animal is not crying but just stands there helplessly, and then its hard to decide if theyre dead and some of them i dont even realize what i am doing at first - tearing the shell off a turtle killing it, eating meat from my cat while shes still alive (she was growing it back), scalping a cat in order to groom it, etc. All i can say is recently I got someone fired who was creeping out everyone at my work, and I felt as if i'd killed someone but i did do the right thing as it could have been a lot worse for him and others if I hadn't (there was something really wrong with him). Also, a couple of my friends had a sick bird recently and in their best efforts to save it they ended up killing it, so maybe couple of mine were vicarious experiences? They could also have something to do with a relationship gone awry despite your best efforts - my turtle dream included a former lover, but that could have not been a direct link, who knows. But what looks nice to me was the assurance at the end of your dream that everyone finally acknowledged you did the right thing, so you werent so alone anymore. So I think that it's a bad dream that says something good about you!
