By kittymmeow Cancer Acting In A Play About A Wedding (Fake Marriage Dream) I was backstage, about to perform a reenactment of some kind of old-fashioned wedding, as, I guess, a play. I was to act as the bride, and many people (I can't remember specifically who they were) were helping me get ready to go on stage. Eventually I walked onstage, accompanied by someone (it's usually the father who walks out with the bride at this time, though in this case it was someone else - I couldn't tell if it was male or female - dressed in a very heavy and very poofy dress-type-thing. It reminded me of a princess dress' shape, though it looked as if it was made of heavy white wool and brown leather). The person acting as the groom was at the other end of the stage, sitting on a tall wooden stool. Another stool was beside him, and I made my way over and sat down. The groom began to speak, describing all the good times our characters had together, my positive qualities, and why he wanted to marry me. As he went on, I eventually almost started to cry, because even though it was scripted, his words seemed to be describing me, and I was getting emotional. He continued to talk for a very long time, and I eventually looked out into the audience to see that about half of the people who had been watching had left, and most of the people remaining were asleep or obviously so bored that they wanted to fall asleep too. The one single person in the audience who wasn't bored, though, was my best friend, who I honestly have had a crush of for the past several months. She was waving at me and smiling, cheering me on, and I completely lost all my focus on the play when I saw her. For some reason, the wedding in the play then never really ended like a normal wedding, it just was sort of over, and the audience (or what remained of it) gave us a halfhearted applause and I woke up soon after.
