Dreams can provide insight into our deepest thoughts. Using dream interpretation to explore dream symbols and uncover a dream's meaning can lead to a better understanding of ourselves.
So... I dreamt of being a vampire. I know what being a vampire usually interprets to, but the following confused me... and oddly, enthralled me with its euphoria. I enjoyed that dream, which was filled with death and destruction... caused by me and my fellow vampires.
There was a battle. A city besieged, and we were inside it; we the defenders. For the whole duration of the dream I did not see an allied soldier for one time, so I later on came to suspect that there were only vampires present. We couldn't have been the last ones standing. Occasionally we walked out through postern gates and took off with our wings, flying close to the ground, flanking the opposing army; there were four, perhaps five of us slaying soldiers at a time. We butchered several of them, those that we found: they were hard to find, I can remember, as the ground was rugged, snowy and full of undergrowth and withered trees. Sometimes we descended and walked awhile in the woods to search for stragglers. We did this routine a few times, until something happened.
After we had returned to the city, we noticed that one of our kin was missing. She had been captured in her retreat, and we flew out to capture her back - there were three of us. I succeeded to liberate her, provided the support my vampiristic friends gave me: I remember snatching her from the ground like a new-born baby, just out of reach of the... others. enemies. This confused me as I thought about it afterwards.
And one more thing. I've had this dream before, maybe two times: it brought a sense of déjá vu to me. I also felt extremely good after waking up and seeing this dream, fascinated by it. Euphoria levels in me were high. Perhaps it was an epic dream.
Anyhow, afterwards it transformed into a sci-fi/fantasy setting: you see, we had LASER GUNS. I remember shooting assassin-figures trying to sneak into the city. And I don't think describing the dream from anymore is even useful, as it transformed from a vampire dream into another one from there and I don't remember anything of them.
Could someone please give me an interpretation of this dream? I truly am quite confused, especially at the warm, satisfied, euphoric feeling I had after the dream. I was fascinated by it.
