I had this dream a few weeks ago that really disturbed me. It took place at this old building that was on top of a really steep, icy hill. It was cold outside, but I was only wearing jeans and a shirt and no shoes. I hiked up the slippery hill and almost fell, but made it to the top eventually.
When I went inside the building, there were people's bodies hanging from chains from the ceiling, dripping blood everywhere. I smelled blood and the reek of decaying bodies, and the moans of the people who hadn't died yet. I think they were sacrifices.
Then, I turned to my other side, and saw my ex-boyfriend of sorts. We'd had a fling the previous year, and I fell in love with him, but he disappeared. In my dream, he said he'd moved and I noticed that he was fatter than normal. The dream continued to me being strung up with the other dead and dying people, and finally dying after a few excruciating days. I feel pain in my dreams, and it felt completely real.
A week or two after the dream when I was awake, I saw him. I almost didn't recognize him, though--he had gained a lot of weight and wasn't remotely attractive anymore. He told me he'd moved. I've had a past of premonition-type dreams, but this was the most closely followed and accurate.
Your dream tells of an old issue concerning something you were unprepared for. Cold feelings arise as you climb a “slippery slope.” You feel you were left “hanging,” over something old and you remember the sacrifices you made. You see your ex who is the cause of all this, feeling he “strung” you along. Finally, the relationship ends (dies) although the pain lingers. –Your dream was probably an actual astral meeting with him that was replayed back to you in symbolic fashion as a dream. In any case, you were meant to meet with him one last time for closure.
