Dreams can provide insight into our deepest thoughts. Using dream interpretation to explore dream symbols and uncover a dream's meaning can lead to a better understanding of ourselves.
The other night I had a weird dream . I don't remember exactly all of it, but I do remember some.
From what I can remember, the entire atmosphere was dark and grim. Me and a group of people (people who I don't know) fell from a rocky cliff into water below. Now, we were on a quest of some kind, I don't know what we were looking for or why. We start going to shore of a rocky island and as we got closer, it seemed like the water was being sucked away some how. We get to shore and we headed to this slab of stone connected to the ground, which looked like an altar. We gather around it and a banshee appeared. She was green, with maybe white hair, and she said not to look at her, but I had already saw her. I was afraid to look at her again, feeling that if I did I would die, but I already knew what she looked like. She was helping with our quest with saying something, I have no clue what. Then, from an underground tunne,l which the entrance looked like entrance to an ancient tomb or something, came two vampires. They attacked us shortly, then retreated back. We all knew there were more in the tunnel, and the others got prepared for a bigger attack with syringes with red liquid, which I or someone asked someone else if they mixed their blood in it (don't know why), and other medical stuff. When I looked at them, I felt helples and that we would most likely die, and so I grabbed some better weapons, such as stakes, from my right, but just a small handful. They just appeared there, I don't know how. Then the banshee started talking again, and I tried to avoid looking at her and then a ghost appeared at my right. He seemed to be kind of like the comic relief side character, that's what he felt like to me. He was white and light blue and wore a tux and top hat. The dream continued on a little bit more with the banshee talking and me anticipating the attack, and then I woke up.
Now I think I might know why I dreamt of the banshee. About a week or so ago, my grandfather had surgery and I was (and still am) kind of scared he might not have much time left to live. I didn't find much information on banshees, and from what I have found, the banshee in my dream isn't something to be afraid of. I just want a second opinion on this dream.
