|  I have a penpal in Missouri who happens to be my best friend. We've been talking for awhile now, and we plan to meet up next summer.
In my dream, she did just that.
We went to pick her up at the airport, and when we found her, her and I hugged super tight and squealed like little girls because we were both so excited. We got all her stuff together and were about to leave when she put on this jean backpack and walked out through the fire exit. I followed her and asked what she was doing. It was about mid-afternoon, and it was snowing outside (very lightly). She said she had to go "do something" and that she'd only be a few minutes. I trust her wholeheartedly, so I said oky and that I'd be waiting for her near the baggage claim.
I went inside and sat down, and I waited.
And waited.
And waited.
And she never came back.
I got worried, so I started walking around the airport asking if anyone had seen her. The people all were faceless, kinda like Slenderman, so nobody answered me. In my dream, I took this as perfectly normal. I did not fear the faceless people.
Eventually I got nervous and ran outside. It was nightime now, and the snow had stopped falling but the ground was full of big snow piles. I ran on the sidewalks and street, screaming her name, but she didnt answer. I started to cry and ran back to the airport, which was now closing. It was dark, and I ran past the man cleaning up (also faceless and didnt seem to care that I was around after closing) and stared screamin for her there. But, of course, she didnt answer.
I cant remember what, but a time passed and eventually I ended up back ouside (early sunrise) and started looking for her (there was a friend from girl scouts helping me look...ironically, she has the same name as my penpal). We made our way to this patch of woods and found this enormous snow mound. My penpal's jean backpack was sticking out of it, so I panicked and started digging her out (my helper was gone now...I was alone).
I was able to get all the snow away, and sure enough she was under there, eyes closed and body covered in ice. She looked like she had just hit the early stages of frostbite and was suffering from hypothermia. When I shook her a few times, she started to open her eyes, but not very much and she didn't say a word.
I remember shouting something like "Oh my God, she's alive!" and threw her on my back and started to walk back to the airport so I could get her some help (maybe someone would take us to the hospital or warm her up somehow). When I got there, however, the entire airport was gone, in it's place a field of untouched snow. I turned to check on her, but she wasnt on my back anymore. I was completely alone...
In my dream I was feeling very guilty. I knew she didn't know the state's terrain, and I shouldn't have let her go alone. I knew the weather was bad, and yet...
I woke up after this. What does it mean? Is it not safe for her to visit for real next summer? |
