My husband, young daughter and myself were walking into a building that was a large square building. The center of the square was a beautiful courtyard with lovely flowering trees. We walked into the building and proceeded to find our room. There were many people there. They seem to be vaguely familiar although I didn't recognize anyone. I got the feeling I know them because I was cordial and familiar with everyone we passed. It was a very relaxing place and I felt peaceful and at home.
When we arrived to our room and we all cuddled up together on the bed. I told our daughter to hug Daddy and tell him goodnight. They loved on each other and snuggled and hugged for several minutes. Both were peaceful and relaxed without torment or agitation. The love they share obvious between them. I smiled as I watched them thinking of how grateful I am that they share such a special bond.
I stood up and folded myself on the floor with the bed supporting my back and put my head in my hands. I felt the frightening tranquil anticipation of something wicked this way comes.
It shrieked as it leaped through the bedroom door. A dog like demon burst into our room attacking my husband and daughter on the bed. I screamed for my daughter to run. She either went under the bed or ran out of the room but, she was gone. Maybe she would be safe for now.
The dog demon tore at my husband. My husband gripped its throat and kept it at arms length. Its huge claws swatting purposefully just missing my husband's face and chest. My husband put his knees up to his chest, placed his feet on the demon's chest and pushed him with all the force he could muster. The demon smashed vigorously into the wall and scampered out the door.
My husband crumpled on the floor beside me. From my vantage point I had seen the entire battle. Our daughter came up to us just as I saw the terrible tear in his shirt and through the skin of his shoulder. When I saw the infected cut in his skin I knew what I had to do.
I calmly and peacefully told our daughter to tell her Daddy goodbye. I said tell him that you love him because he isn't going to be himself much longer. He won't be able to hear you after.
Her big honey brown eyes instantly clouded with sadness although she did not cry. She gently kissed her Daddy, looked him in the eye and said I love you Daddy. I love you more than I can ever say. He said I know, Baby, I know. I love you, too. They hugged deeply and held each other for a heavy moment.
As they were embracing, I reached under the bed and scrambled for a shot gun. I could see the wound in his shoulder darkening and deepening. I could see his veins pulling the poison out into his body. His eyes began to roll back into his head as he fought the change.
I stood on my knees in front of him. I told him I love you. I love you even when it hurts. I placed the barrel of the short shot gun to his forehead. I woke as I pulled the trigger.
I woke up fearing I had murdered my husband. He was safely sleeping beside me. I cried and cried.
