It started with my brother and I looking for something in an old manor house. We were interrupted by a middle-aged woman who asked who we were and we soon discovered that she was our distant Irish cousin (but she had an English accent not Irish).
*I should probably add that my great-grandfather on my dad's side came to America from Cork, Ireland and this woman and her husband and two sons were supposed to be cousins from that line of my family.
The details are foggy now that the day has gone by but a few strong points still stick out in my memory.
First was that both of the woman's sons kept asking me out and I was flattered but would politely turn them down. Then there was another scene where I was sitting in a room with one of the boys and I started singing "So this is Love" from Disney's Cinderella, and when I came to the last couple lines he started to sing the male harmony with me.
Then in the last scene of my dream I was standing with an older gentleman on a hillside looking down onto the coastline. A great mist was rising from the ocean and snaking it's way up the road and paths that intersected up the hills. The man was telling me a fairy tale about the mists and dragons and something about it being a good omen. Then I got a call from the other boy (not the one who sang with me) and he was asking me to go to a local event with him. I didn't want to say yes but I didn't think I could turn him down so I said maybe. He seemed confused about my indecision and as he was about to reply it was like the sound of his voice was sucked from my ear...
I woke up to my alarm clock then, but of all my dreams I've never experienced being pulled out that way before.
Overall the dream left me feeling good and I was humming "so this is love" most of the day. I've been single for a while now and I really what a boyfriend and this dream left me feeling that I was going to meet someone soon. But why was I turning the boys down if I want to go out with them (or at least one of them)?
