Last night I dreamed that my mom came sleep over at our house and they had a stow away hairless rat in their luggage. In my dream I woke up and saw the rat crawling on my tv stand. I told my brother that we have to squash that rat. So we tried to kill the rat, but it slipped away. I threw my hands up and said “Now we got a rat problem”!





I looked up the meaning of dreams about rats from a few different sources but could not find anything on a HAIRLESS RAT. I saw that if its black or brown, there is a certain meaning.

Your Mom's luggage represents family habits you are carrying around with you, most specifically Yin. The rat is one of these that came along for the ride, although you may not have been aware of it as you were growing up. Now that it's here, you recognize it as a problem, something to be got rid of, killed. Unfortunately, it eludes you.

I agree that the hairless aspect of the rat is a clue, and it is probably a clever metaphor for whatever the issue is in real life.

My suggestion is that the negative issue/habit/attitude is not something to intensely fear, but it is quite uncomfortable, perhaps making you feel ugly, vulnerable or chilled in some way. Remember, too, that it may have Yin energy, so look in the area of intuition, emotion, etc.
