I was in the middle of a vast ocean with one of my friends, a guy that I really liked, we'll call him John. We were snorkelling, my fingers entwined with his. There was an older couple guiding us up front. We saw many things on the ocean bed, really random stuff like chairs and stuff but most of the areas were dark as if it was too deep. We saw a rundown tennis court and were interested in only that. Someone said if we swam far enough, we'd find ourselves somewhere. I think I took it as a challenge. The both of us reached the place and found ourselves in the company of other happy couples and crowds of people congratulating us on making it. We walked out, still linked by our hands, then linked arm in arm. We laughed and talked as usual. It was dark out and we were walking along a busy sidewalk. On John's side of the walk, I saw someone lighting up a trail of gunpowder. He didn't notice it and before it exploded is pulled him towards me so he wouldn't get injured by it . That wasn't the end of it. The same person was lighting up the rest of the trail, causing explosions. John and I started running if not the explosions would reach us. At the end of the sidewalk, there were stairs going down that John ran into. I watched in horror as the explosion blew up the entrance of it, and rubble crumbling, it crushed someone dead but I didn't care and cried because John was dead. In disbelief, I ran to the entrance of the stairs, threw my doctor tag ( we wear them to identify ourselves as doctors at work ) to one side and started looking for his body. I found John at the bottom of the stairs, unconscious and started crying, trying to wake him up. Eventually he opened his eyes and I cried harder in relief that he was still alive.
Something in your life was going good, then great but then someone or something sort of messed that up, then a bit more. If it hasn't already, then everything turns out fine.
