My Mall, Neighborhood And City | Second World Dream Interpretations
Dreams can provide insight into our deepest thoughts. Using dream interpretation to explore dream symbols and uncover a dream's meaning can lead to a better understanding of ourselves.
So I constantly have reoccuring experiences about dreams">dreams of the same mall (I've NEVER been to or seen in my life, slight similarities here and there) but I've never actully physically been to it before. I refer to it as "my mall" when I tell people about it; I have a lot of lucid dreams including this one.
I can pick stores to go to and there's 2 levels with 4 or 5 sections or branches, and the dream can either be the same routine or it will change to what I want to go do. The same mall can show up in random dreams too while I'm being chaseed or exploring a new area, it'll just show up.
I can start outside in the parking lots, there's about 8 different ones for entrances. If I'm outside the mall, it's usually night time with the flood lights on and a few random cars parked. There's more smaller stores outside like a little outlet mall.
I also have a twisting neighborhood that I'm constantly going to, I take walks through it down the same streets, sometimes getting turned around and a little lost lol. There's a section with bigger nicer houses, a construction area and you can go down back through and find a lower income type part of the neighborhood which also connects into a small dusty trailer park. While I'm walking it's usually day/ almost sunset. I can smell the grass, feel the breeze and it's always nice out with a few kids playing.
There's 2 schools, an elementary school which isn't too big but is nice and a community sized college. (Again, same with all this, I've NEVER been to these places before, just a few simularities of old memories) I can go into both, they each have their own layouts and rooms. The college has a lot of glass plate windows and a big library upstairs. There's usually a few random people walking around. The elementary school I find myself working in my dreams sometimes, which is what I've been doing the past 2 years, working with mostly 2nd graders. So that part is expected, but the experiences are completely not the same.
When I try to leave or explore further out from the neighborhood, I'm driving and find major highways, bridges and exits. This is the only time my anxiety increases because the roads become distorted and extremely unrealistic. So far there's been 2 places that I can recall clearly. One is an up north type place like a vacation home with a lake and woods with a couple other houses near by. For the most part in the middle of nowhere; the other place is an airport.
If the dream sequences from the highway to the lakehouse, I feel myself become a little paniced from the drive over but then I can ususally somewhat relax. If I go from the highway to the airport, the dream becomes more ditorted and I feel myself become very anxious.
From there the dream just disconnects from almost all reality and I end up riding on these extreme escalators going every which way and I can't find the right gate to go to. If I get on a plane, I'm extremely worried and I start to get a flying sensation, and the rest of the dream fizzles out from there.
I love my little city, it's fun to relax in and explore.
I often dream of the "same locations." One is this this camping spot near a river with trails and trees everywhere. I've had many dreams of going there or being near the area for many years.
This might sound crazy, but I believe we actually "build" these areas with our imagination and they continue to exist on the Astral plane. Have you ever seen the movie "Inception"? ...much like the cities the main character and his wife made. I don't think there's much to say about these places except that they are familiar environments we "build" with our minds to navigate during dream-time and explore various scenarios.
Your sounds really elaborate, though! :)

Heidi
