I dreamed that I was cleaning my aquarium. (Nothing odd here, as my dreams often start with my aquarium). Somehow, an ugly eel was hiding under the rocks, and me and my mother wanted to get rid of it, because all it would do is hide under the rocks. When we picked up the eel, it was suddenly transformed into many snakes. My mum was carrying more snakes than me. As she seemed to confer to me that she could handle more of them. I think she was there to help me get rid of them, as she knew how to do it. I wrapped the snakes around my hands and was holding them tightly. They were wrapped around my hand like I would wrap a cord. I had a good grip of them. but their heads were free and balancing as I was walking to put them away. The balancing cause them to bite both of my hands. I was anxious and scared of the bites, but they did not hurt. All I was looking at were the snakes biting my hands, but I knew that I was going somewhere to get rid of them.

Interesting. I added this to my collection of dreams involving snakes biting body parts. Hands is the most common location so far in my collection.

A likely interpretation is that these multiple snakes represent stings or bites, some hurtful things from real life. This occurs when you 'reach out' as with your hands, which may be in a situation where you try to make friends and are rejected or something in your waking life along those lines. I have one dream in my collection where a man with strong, sexual lusts enters a room of curvaceous, half-naked women, and his hands are bitten by snakes as he reaches out. In that case, the bites are an obvious warning against his lusts.

Think about how you are reaching out to others. Is it with good intentions? Is the advice of your mother of any help or are you repeating any negative patterns she has taught you? There are a lot of good things to think about here, and a guide for personal growth.
