|  I had just gotten out of the shower and was worried about my son. I thought he was in the backyard so I ran out to go make sure he was ok. I was in such a panic that I didn't have time to put clothes on so I grabbed a long john shirt to cover up my importants. To my happiness, my son was ok. As I was yelling for him he yelled out from the bedroom inside of our first house(he was sitting on the bed with my sister looking through books photo albums I think). I went back inside to put clothes on, and noticed through my front screen (glass) door that a dark cloud had formed a funnel and it was heading our way. I warned my family (screaming franticly!) to get to the basement cause a tornado was coming. Our first house didn't have a basement, but our current home does). I noticed in another room there were car seats on the bed, but I can't remember seeing/hearing babies. My husband was in the basement entertaining guests, I'm assuming the babies would have been with them? As my son stood at the basement door to my left, he asked if I was coming I of course yelled "just go I'll be right here!" I was so concerned with putting clothes on (nobody seemed to notice I was naked but me). After my children were in the basement, I was sitting on the floor in the living room (I think by a laundry basket, getting clothes) and glanced out the front door at the tornado. It was different in character , it was black, but it was also striped with sections of clear (where you could see it's formation, but you could see through it...almost like heat from a grill)It was headed swiftly at my front door! I braced for the worst, and all I could think was everyone is going to find me naked (how embarrassing). So I sat there frozen with fear! The tornado came through my front screen (glass) door and didn't damage anything! It was like the invisible guy on the movies that walks through the door except it was like a puff of smoke and then it turned back into a funnel. It was mostly clear ( still some black) though with a very mild breeze. I remember thinking it was really weird that i was still sitting in the same spot on the floor I wasn't blown away and my house wasn't damaged. Then as it surrounded me, it separated into what I described as fingers, or kinda looked like maybe individual dreadlocks. Sounds crazy but I could count them really. (I wasn't scared, it wasn't like that, It was like being at the carwash and watching the machines clean the car.) As this breeze/wind/tornado came over me I felt a calm like I had not felt before! I quit screaming and just sat there naked basking in the calm with my eyes closed and head facing upward. I don't know what it all means, but a tornado that provides calm? That's got to be something BIG! |
