Simply a high heel, 
slung carelessly in the air.
Temptation, size nine. 

The day awakens, 
with her words still echoing,
my heart still racing.

Bleeding on paper.
Wounded, my heart spilling out.
Every word your name. 

This is all I know
waiting and wanting your touch
till it comes tonight

Thoughts of losing her,
in every waking moment
clinging, consuming.

Bathed in the soft light,
simply just a glimpse of her.
Yet it holds me there.

A sorry sun rose
Farmer with stutter says 'I'm..
I'm...thick...I'm...I'm...dumb

All that remain are ghosts,
Haunting the now empty corridors,
Of a once bustling heart.

Stained, shattered, broken. 
Pieces fall through my fingers, 
remnants of a heart.

A promise of love. 
Forever, gone in a blink, 
leaving only ghosts. 

I still think of you, 
even as you slowly drift
to another's shore. 

Flowers growing there,
over the grave of our love.
I am mourning still. 

The scent of perfume,
it still lingers in the air,
delicious with lust. 

Her taste, peppermint.
Taking breath as I feel her,
still there on my lips.

Let me shed this skin,
step out into the sunlight,
shine like I am new.

She loved me, I her
so many seasons ago.
Our time still winter.

Almond skin, dark eyes, 
Her lip gloss shines as she smiles.
I could love again.

Loaded down with cares,
It is easier to share.
Help me to endure.

Something tugs at me,
to the midnight blue spangle,
like the moonlit waves.

Dont go with the flow.
Ride upstream.
