I Think Pachelbel's Canon In D Is the Most Beautiful Music Stories of Experiences

When performed by the Academy of St. Martins-in-the-Fields and Sir Neville Mariner I am stunned by its simplicity and tenderness.
I want to cry to it, smile to it, make love to it.
Stunning.
 

It was one of Princess Diana's favourite pieces of music and was played at her funeral in 1997.

I love this piece of music so much that I would love to use it for my wedding march down the aisle, rather than do what everyone does and choose the traditional organ wedding march, which never sounded very romantic, in my opinion...

I am often asked to play it on the organ, at weddings. It doesn't work that well as an entrance piece, because you do not get very much of it. It works best when played in full, during an occasion like that. I once played it as a duet...

From the very first time that I ever heard the Canon in D, I was struck by its simplicity.  The recurring theme captivates the mind and I can listen to it time and time again, and never tire of it.
