Whenever I come across an unfamiliar word I say it to myself three times then I look it up in dictionary.com. If I'm at work I use an actual dictionary & thesaurus. I love the thumb indexes.

Whenever I am reading a story or whatever I use context clues first, and then I try to guess what the word means. I always get excited whenever I am close to the definition. My family thinks I am crazy whenever I do this.

Dictionary.com is my friend!  I jot down or make mental notes of words I don't know to look up later.  And as it's rather impractical to be hauling around an Oxford English or Webster's Unabridged!!
