Gonna show my age here for sure. I remember racing home to watch the day MTV first aired. I saw "Video Killed the Radio Star" by the Buggles, first video played. I was in 8th grade. One of the best music eras!

Yep when I was in the Eighth grade in 1983 the local cable provider added mtv to the basic cable package.....
And reallly they just played videos and that was about it...
They had VJ's and they had mtv news... it was great back then...

The last time I watched MTV was probably 16 or 17 years ago. Back then It was music videos 24/7. I really miss those days. Back before all of the reality TV B.S. I don't know why people get hooked on a lot of the reality crap anyway...
