I had no idea about turtle soup until now!  EwwPoor turtles!  :(  I never have and will never have. 

To be perfectly frank, every plate of meat I've ever seen, whether mammal, fish, bird, or invertebrate, simply sickens me.

I've never tried it and I'm not about to! I remember my Dad telling me that someone made it for him one time and he ate it, not knowing what it was . He thought it was O.K until they told him what it was and he up chucked right then...

Turtles are quite adorable as are baby calves.  I read somewhere that when making turtle soup that some chefs will substitute veal for some of the turtle meat. I have never eaten turtle soup so I am not certain what it tastes like...
