Adapting And Over Coming Is Survival.....

one has to learn how to adapt ad over come...things change so fast, and if you do not, you will be left behind. Sometimes it is a hard thing to do mind you, but it is survival, and without it, we would not survive!

Well I'm pretty much homeless again.

.. Moving from place to place at least... "Couch surfing" as it were. The first few nights were awkward at best, but I tried to make the most of it and hold onto a grateful attitude. I have some support, I'm not exactly on the street. I've done this before, learned to travel...

    Problems are prospective chance forebearances.

Problems are teaching aides to find more of yourself. Problems are walls to climb over (or go to the hill and look over it!) Problems are never things to deflate you, or depress you.

    Change Is Good!

A part of me want to argue that some change is BAD, very bad! But, honestly, when I look back at all the horrible things that had happened to me in my past, they've helped shaped me into the person I am today. Although it was bad for those things to have happened, I learned from...

    It's What Life Is About...

Life is about being able to adapt and to overcome many tasks. I remember last year my part of the state in Kansas had gotten hit rather hard with an ice storm. Everyone in my little town had lost power. It had taken almost three weeks for the power companies to turn everyone...

I'm not sure if this statement is entirely true,

but it reminded me of a quote from one of my favourite books: "'To adapt is to overcome.'" This was said by G.T. Stoop, a key character in the novel Hope Was Here by Joan Bauer. It was said in response to the main character, Hope, saying "I'm adaptable." Hope Yancy is one of...

    Been resistant to change

for quite some time, and it's just been holding me back. I feel like i'm starting to come into my own as a person; don't want to be all pretentious and say i'm maturing or more of a man now, but I do feel stronger as a person. There have been quite a few struggles for me...

    So Far

I must have joined this group on a day when I was feeling stupidly confident.  Today I’m thinking ‘Yeah, but...’ It’s not as if I’ve experienced the worst life that has got to offer.  The worst is yet to come.

    Adapt To Survive

Isn't adapting and overcoming a part of Life? Don't we all experience trauma and pain...in one form or another? And, don't those experiences alter the fabric of our characters? No matter who you are, there's bound to have been a time in your life where you've suffered. Its a...

    Makes 1 Stronger

speaking from my own experience... i believe when some kind of adversity strikes, u can either adapt 2 it or u can let it bring u down.  when u let it bring u down, life will pass u by, but when u adapt 2 it, it makes u a stronger person and also u learn from the experience...

I believe the best and easiest way to deal with

any situation is to adapt to it. If you are broke, for example, make the best of it! If you have the food to get together, make it a dining experience! Find some fine orchestra music on YOUTUBE, light a candle and enjoy the meal. Instead of eating, you are now dining. BOOM!

How walking your dog can change your life One

of the best activities you can do if you are a pet owner living in an apartment complex, is to take your dog out for a “pack walk” every morning. They need it and it’s a great bonding experience and exercise for all! A month into having my dog Loki, I was running with him...

We don't experience the world directly.

In some way, we build up an image of the world and experience that. Our body, brain, and mind are already adapted to this experience, but sometimes we forget the difference between the image, and the actual... and sometimes we neglect the power of hope and learning. We can use...
