    It Gets A Little Weird

I have lots of recipes & follow few of them. For me, cooking is a method not a set flavor , not a one time taste.  I sort of imagine a flavor & go for it.  Using what's in the refrigerator can be creative as well.      Meatloaf is fun & a favorite of mine. Last week I didn...

Made some kiss cookies but didn't use the peanut butter cookie, instead used a thumbprint cookie base than pushed a mint truffle kiss in the middle. It was really good.

    A Treasured Memory..

My grandmother was an amazing, strong, compassionate woman.  She lived her whole life on the farm, cared for her family, lovingly tended to her cows, her orchid and her gardens, and was a goddess in the kitchen!!She made everything from scratch, and never followed a recipe to a...

My favorite thing to fix is Southern Red Velvet

Cake with cream cheese icing. I follow a specific internet recipe by the book -- except for one thing: I add a LITTLE more cocoa powder than it asks for. I think that little bit of powder makes it so much richer and more delectable.

I add me  sugar to asian recipes. I know its a bit unhealthy well it may seem that way, but I add by tablespoon not one big blot o sugar. I have to be careful because sugar can burn in my wok, and burned sugar is hard to remove. I also add pineapple juice to most oof the recipes...

    Try And Eat Healthy

When I cook, I try and add things to fortify my recipe. I recently bought some Flaxseed meal and I want to try substituting a little of that in the place of wheat flour when I bake. I also like to add apple sauce to baked goods to make them moist and I use plain yogurt...

I always add my own spins to recipes.

I Love to cook, I love cooking for others, and I normally follow a recipe, but from time to time, I do add my own twist, or a different spice here and there. Something to spice things up.

    Add My Own Spin

to recipes .. yes i do that too. I like having a large variety of spices and will usually add some that are not part of the ingredients list if i am following a recipe. It is fun to give it a new twist and a little extra zing :)

'Crispy Things In A Whatsisname Sauce'

Many good recipies are born through accidents or modifications to tried and trusted recipies.  I have dabbled in the kitchen partly because I am not organised.  I'm compulsive and get a hankering for something I fancy to eat.  Inevitably there are insufficient ingredients to...
