I Admire a Man Who Is a Good Father

    Since four generations (my son,

me, my mother and my grandmother) we grew up in the family without father. I even don´t know the meaning of this word. But very seldom I see men who take good care of their kids. It makes me smile and in these moments I just think that all children and kids are blessed who have...

My husband would have been a good Father.

He was killed in a car accident the year we adopted Lilly, my oldest daughter, 11. I have dated since but haven't found another mate.

I always like this idea about fathers

and dads. Any guy can be a father, but it takes a real man to be a dad.

    A Great Father

I was actually thinking of this yesterday and I ran into this experience today. My big brother is a great father. I never would have thought he would be such a dedicated and hands on dad. He does everything for his kids and I love he is so involved. Even though he is busy with...

    So....yesterday I posted a question in an

attempt to wish peeps a happy Father's Day. In doing so I was insensitive and eliminated a lot of people who deserved that wish and included some who didn't. A father didn't necessarily contribute DNA. A father is a man who puts his child/children first, disciplines them with...

I like hearing stories of dads taking some time

out to be with their kids (eg camping, fishing, road trips, etc). When the kids become adults, these are the memories that they would recall. On a sad note, my daughter does not have much of those enjoyable moments with her dad to recall. There won't be for a long, long time...

My own father was as good a man

as it is possible to find. He was a good husband, loyal and affectionate to my mum and a good dad to us. I looked for a man in his image and found one in my Jack. He was my soul mate, my husband, my companion, my best friend and a great dad to our family. History books laud...

My father and I did not have the best

relationship; we were too much alike and always argued. However, now since he is gone, I realized and appreciate the values he instilled in me. For example, he believed that a man should have a job; as long as the family is being taken care of, then all is well. Now there were...

I have a daughter who will be 7 very soon.

I was the first to hold her and from that moment I was hooked I have never loved anything or one as much as I do my daughter. I cannot fathom how someone could look into the eyes of their baby and not want to love and protect that child for the rest of their lives.
