I Admire Men Who Are Very Good Cooks

Personal Stories, Advice, and Support 1,624 People

I began to cook in high school at a restaurant

on weekends. Since then I've worked as a cook from time to time. I'm not the best cook in the world, but I do know my way around the kitchen. I love creating new dishes, tinkering with standard dishes to add my own special twist to it. I put a little love in everything I cook...

    There's Just Something...

about a man is a good cook and likes to and invites you to a date where he's preparing the food. You know the stress you can sense from him that makes him nervous and yet adorable as he tries to be suave and charming. Tries to be excited and smooth opening the door when really he...

Okay, you don't have to be VERY good

but if you can cook I'm impressed, and probably in love. I myself hate cooking and really only know the basics. I don't know when it started but even when I was little I chose doing dishes over helping make supper. I'd make a terrible house wife hahaha!

Not sure if I should include myself

as a man who cooks and should be admired because not everything I cook turns out "good" lol. I think a man that can cook (as a boyfriend, husband or a friend) shows that he has skill with his hands. I find it an attractive quality. Being a "very good" cook is great but not...

As a guy who cooks, I admire it

and I promote it. One of the main reasons is that it helps break gender stereotypes brought forth from the hunter-gatherer times...I bring it home and you fix it. Being a cook is incredibly gratifying because people will almost always point out how "good this is".

A Man Who Can Cook Can Surely Steal My Heart!

I once went on a date with a guy who claimed to be a very good cook. I didn't buy what he was selling so I asked him to prove. He invited me to his place and I found a lot of cooking books. He asked what I wanted to have for dinner as he handed me a pile of recipe books- he told...

just like a chef. He would plate my food for me, so artistic. It was very special to ,me, one of my favorite times of day. I doubt I will ever experience that again. I loved it when he cooked.
