    A bunch of times actually.

Just last week I filled my house with smoke, burned my leg bad, and set off all my fire alarms.

When I was younger, I had these tiny Hershey

bars. The chocolate was kind of old and hard, so I microwaved them for a bit to soften them up and eat them. Well, one of them that I put in, I forgot to take it off of the foil wrapper. After about 3 seconds in the microwave I hear a loud POP. I then around to look at my...

I once forgot to turn the stove off,

and left a pot of beans boiling all night. Woke up in the morning to find most of the health full of thick, white smoke, and a pot blackened beyond repair.

    I Am Usually Soooo Careful...........but

A few weeks back, i was melting candle wax on hob of cooker, and walked out of kitchen, i got side tracked and sat and watched a bit of telly, then wandered into utility room, doing stuff (this is next to the kitchen) came out of there and wandered into a grey smoke filled room...

    A Few Times

I know that the stove caught fire once or twice when I was cooking on it. I don't remember how. Then things have caught on fire in the microwave a few times. I guess i put something in there that I wasn't supposed to lol. I'm a total disaster in the kitchen. I always have to have...

    A Cautionary Tale

I've done it a million times before. Cooked while watching TV or on the phone or even on line. It's about breakfast time & I was feeling a bit peckish. I thought to fry something up, so I oiled a pan & heated the stove. I came back for my empty coffee cup & discovered...

    Pyro By Default

I actually have caught my kitchen on fire. Twice. This has NOTHING to do with my stellar cooking abilities, I swear! Once was when I was trying to light a burner on the gas stove and I'm not sure what happened...but POOOOOOF flames galore and there go the curtains.  Then there...

    Who Hasn't

Who hasn't done this. lol It has been a long time since I have done it but it is usually because I will step into another room to watch something interesting on T.V. and forget about what's on the stove.

    From What Seemed Impossible.

I was cooking some beef in a pan with some yummy wine sauce. I thought as it was on low heat it would be okay to take a trip to the restroom. Big mistake! As soon as I went to reach for the toilet paper I saw smoke coming into the bathroom from under my door. I then rushed off...

I was helping my brother microwave some Kraft

Mac'n'cheese and he didn't take out the metal spoon. We got it out in time but the plate was smoldering and the kitchen smelt like burnt plastic. There was a large puff of smoke but we put out all the sparks quickly enough.
