    So Sad!

It ruins my day. The bigger the animal the more my day is spoiled. I used to live near a lake, a long time ago. There was a path around it that I could walk or bike around. There was the body of a dog in the shallow of the lake for a long time; I wanted to call someone to...

I saw a dead bird in the road,

as I was leaving work yesterday. It was a big silver grey bird and so beautiful. It made me cry all the way home and I just can't shake it today for some reason. :(

    Looking For Roadkill Pics

I always feel sorry for road kill but I am working on a film project which requires photos or video of road kill (blood and guts no problem). Any contributions will be gratefully accepted and credited in the final movie

    Still Alive

I always feel a searing pain in my heart when I see dead animals on the side of the road (or otherwise). I understand it is the way things are, things die (everything dies), but I minimize as much as I can - I would rather destroy the breaks on my car than hit anything with it...

Is It the Dead Animal Or the Waste It Repesents

I don't mind the killing, it happens, hunting, natural death, predators all the ills that can befall a wild animal.  What I hate to see is them lying on the road, rotting, and their death served no purpose, no value to it, nothing to improve the life left behind. ...

I always feel sorry for road kill.

Especially when it looks like a dog, or a cat, I mean that's someone's pet :( I had a dog get hit by a car, and a cat get hit by a car, and it broke my heart. So whenever I see road kill I always feel really bad, and I feel even worse, when I cause it :(

Squirrels are so interesting to watch. They do not care whether you are watching from room, the kitchen or whilst in the garden. Protecting their territory and having a ball playing around. During spring and autumn are the worst times to see them trying to cross the roads. I...

    Germany and Dead Animals

While visiting Germany, we drove the autobahn's for hundreds of miles.  We also drove the scenic rural highways.  I never once saw a dead animal along the side of the road.  What's up with that???

    It Was Dismal. . .

I was driving the other day and I saw a fawn standing in someone's yard, munching on a tree. I thought it was adorable, and I counted myself as lucky for having seen the little guy. And twenty meters later, I saw a dead doe on the side of the highway. I felt sort of sad for the...

    Grew Up In the Hills

I grew up in the hills and there were times that I hit things but I always did my best not to.  I feel awful when I see dead animals on the road, especially when you see A LOT of them and you know someone was TRYING to hit them.  I am not religious by any...

    I Do Too. :)

Call me weird Because I am, but I say a prayer and ask my higher power to take care of them,  And the family the left behind, etc. I believe all creatures great and small go to higher place just like we do when we die. Well that is what I believe anyway.

When I was little I would get extremely upset

any time I saw a dead animal on the side of the road. The only way my dad could ever seem to chill me out was to tell me that if I said "God bless this little animal's heart", then I could keep whatever animal it was when I went to heaven. I am almost 27. I still do it. I...
