People have the tendency to NOT tell me when things are going on, and if I don't know whats going on I can't exactly fix things can I? You have to know to be able to try.

which of course makes me hugely sensitive to the fact that no one tells me anything.
which makes me look desperate to know stuff.
which makes people not tell me stuff.
which exacerbates the cycle. sigh.

It annoys people to no end, because I go 'what?' all the time when people are talking quietly and I can't hear them. I understand how it's annoying to be asked 'what what?' all the time, but it's also annoying when people talk quietly...

Because according to them, I hear everything that's going on. And that's definitely true. Nobody can hide anything from me, I have to know everything that's going on. I wouldn't go ahead and call it being nosy, but I do like to know...
