They Will Never Spit In My Food

I make it a point to leave a generous tip for a few different reasons.  One, I know that waitresses/waiters make like $3 an hour.  So, their tips are what help them feed their families.  Two, I want to make sure that no one will ever do anything disgusting to my...

    Used to Be a Waitress

I tip well and get very upset if I go out with a man that doesn't tip well. I used to be a waitress and many times people would leave nominal tips. When you are eating out remember that the tip you leave may be a major portion of the waiter/waitress's hourly pay.

I worked my way through college and most to of graduate school being a waitress and a bartender. I am a huge tipper when I get at least adequate service.  But I will say if you do not give me the minimum, I am not at all afraid to leave you a tiny tip.  I have done it, I know...

If the staff is rude, goes out of their way to eff things up or is just plain oblivious, I won't leave any tip at all. But I will leave an explanation and ask to speak to the manager. For example, out for dinner one evening my mean arrived frozen. Literally. I got the...

Pizza-guys like stoners, because we always tip with wanton abaddon for our bank accounts. Such is our nature. I remember giving a dude a twenty dollar tip for bringing my band-friends and I a pizza at high school while we were waiting to suit up and march in for Homecoming. No...

    Almost always. Waiters

and waitresses are grossly underpaid and rely on tips to equal a reasonable salary. Most a very good and try to make the experience a good one. However, there is on occasion one that doesn't put forth a reasonable effort and I'll reduce the tip accordingly.

So long as I have the money to spare, I tip.  And I try to budget meals out to allow for the tip.  'Cause honestly those men and women bust their azzes serving our food...and often all they get for their pains is a lot of complaining and grief. In the same vein, when the service...

If it isn't then I won't tip, they already get paid. But if I feel they've really worked hard in making my experience special (just smiling and having a great attitude is all it takes) then I will tip the way over the standard 10% it will encourage them to treat all customers...

I have worked in a couple of different restaurants.  It is hard work.  Waiting tables may look easy and it may not take a genius IQ, but running your *** off 40 hours a week for less than minimum wage isn't exactly a cake-walk.    My baseline for...

I work in the hospitality industry and have learnt that tips are what makes someone's job that much better. If someone is providing you with a service, you should always tip them if you enjoyed said service. Usually 10% of the bill is the amount of tip you give, but in Eastern...
