Whenever I have a disagreement with anyone I try to see their point of view as well as mine. Sometimes I'm right and sometimes it turns out I'm wrong. I'm only human. That's why I try not to get stuck with only one side in my head.

I do try very hard whenever I'm in conflict to try and see the other viewpoint. I find imagining what it's like to be them very useful in achieving this. Ultimately it's a courtesy though and unreturned courtesies usually dry up.

...To see the other person's point of view when I am in conflict with someone, but it is too easy, I admit, to just focus on my own point of view while arguing or whatever, and exasperate the situation further by doing this.
