    52 Years Old

I am 52 years old, and after a day of hard work at my job I feel every year of it.  But I am grateful that I still can work at a hard job.  And I am happy that I have used moisturizer on my face every morning since I was 40, and people think I am in my late 30's! ...

I am 50 and very proud of myself and my achievements, but when it comes to having a life partner it is becoming a really hard goal to achieve since 50's and 60's men are looking for ladys half their age. Why?

I decided when I turned 50, I was not taking crap anymore. I had been playing the game of being nice, but it never got me anywhere. So when I turned 50, I started giving crap back to people who gave me crap. I don't initiate crap giving as I generaly like people. But some people...

    Early Days

I remember television. It had 3 channels, went off at 11 pm. with american flag waving then a test pattern until 6am. next morning. When a movie came on 9 out of every 10 movies seemed to be a western. Many of the television series were also westerns. I got so sick of...

    50 & Building

At 50 I'm working hard to change my life.  I wanted a richer, fuller life.  I've taken one big step by moving from the suburbs to the city and I am very happy with that decision.  Now the next step is to take advantage of all the city has to offer - art, music, culture and...

I turned 60 in 2006.  After World War II, the soldiers came home, and I was born 9 months after Dad got back from Europe.  I am glad I was born when I was.  As a young adult, I participated in the great cultural revolution that happened in North America and around...

    50 Something

At 50 Something I made lots of decisions. First, to assist my 18 year old son and 23 year old daughter in getting their lives together. Which included moving out of our home. Secondly, to live life to the fullest. Thirdly, to finish all unfinished projects. Working on the second...

    54 And Counting

I'm not entirely sure this qualifies as an experience since I did nothing but age.  I will say, all things considered, I'm not doing bad for an old guy.  I work out 5-6 days a week, I haven't gotten fat (although I'm getting pretty bald) and I don't have ED. ...

A Might Be Old to Some

Yes, I am over 50. Been through the school of 'Hard Knocks' and a few others. Seen 'War and Peace' and lead a 'Wild and Crazy' life. Several different incarnations to prove I was something I wasn't. Despite the bumps, bruises, pains and agonies I continue on ... not ready to...

54 Years Young and Enjoying the Ride.

Another time is right. When we were kids (in Australia anyway) the evening entertainment was a mantle radio or a record player spinning 78 RPM records. Does anyone remember "The three bells", "Warburton Mountain", or "Teddy Bears Picnic" ...

    Turning 50

On July 28th, I turned 50. Although I was convinced at a young age that I wouldn't make it past 30, here I am. Long ago, 50 seemed really, really old. Now I look at 50 and ask, what's next? I took time to reflect on my life and I can actually say that I have no regrets. Yes, I...
