:D The title pretty much explains itself.

The picture is my foot. People say I have a pretty point, but I think my point looks better standing up.

    Ballet For the Soul

my entire childhood was ballet. after school when all my friends ran off to play I went to balletclass and worked very hard. a russian woman was screaming at me most days, because I wasn´t "good enough for my talent" that kinda thing. It was pretty rough, my...

    It Makes Me Proud

To be able to say, "This is what I do." Ballet is my thing. It makes me so happy, no matter how hard it hurts. I know I will be able to take my knowledge of dancing with me wherever I go. When I am dancing, I feel comfortable within myself. It takes all of the...

    Ballet: The love hate relationship.

For me this is exactly what it is. The love is for the art form itself and all that goes into it. The constant striving for the perfection that is never going to be quite there no matter how many schools you go to or whom, trains you. The love for something that just gets in...

    My Ballet Teacher Confuses Me?!?

when your ballet teacher says "everyones getting on pointe this thursday" to the whole class , do they want you to already have pointe shoes for that day, or do they mean their going to examine your feet for pointe? I haven't been examined for pointe yet, but my teacher has the...

    What A Nightmare

While dying in Romeo's arms as Juliet you could hear a pin drop in the theatre. Then an ambulance drive by sirens blaring;clearly heard by the theatre and Romeo and I started to laugh and couldn't stop. We sort of got in trouble.

I hate when people say dance

or ballet isn't a sport, because they have no idea the work and pressure we are put under, but they are kind of right, dance is a lot more than just a sport 😊

When i was young, i don't really like ballet.

Not like other "typical" girls who loves ballet. Now, in school we need to choose some extracurricular activities. Then my aunt forced me to take ballet lessons. So... I took ballet for 6 years. My teacher said i would've took advance class but it doesn't fit my "age". And now i...

I love dancing with all my heart

and am moving into a more lyrical approach. I was just offered a scholarship to a studio not to far from me. I have been taking classes for 11 years and joined the competition team when I was eight years old and have been dancing in the senior division ever since.

When I' dance, everything disapears.  No heartaches exist, family problems are lost in my foot steps.  Ballet is what gets me through the day, the only positive thing in my life.

Don't click this if you can't stand pointe shoe

casualties. I currently have a bruise toe. I call it a raintoe 😂 I think it was actually from my ballet flats, the pointe just 'enhanced' the bruise. And yeah, it hurts so badly. On pointe and after my pointe class it was so bad it hurt to walk.

I´ll be 30 this year and after 26 years of ballet dancing it hurts more often. My body is strong but it can´t take the "abuse" ballet sometimes is. I dance proffesionally and pain and injuries is an unavoidable part of that, but I also want to be kind to myself so...

    I Love Dance

I'm 15 and I love dance.. I dance ballet since I was 3, but 4 years ago, I thought that all my friends of ballet were too thin {me too but I didn't see it} so I didn't eat, but one of my partners "teach" me the "art" of bulimic. Now I know that I couldn't do that. When I dance...

I am or rather was a male ballet dancer,

because I had an injury which kicked me out of "the business" for 2 years and I am just taking myself back to it ;) But I think that being a ballet dancer is a state of mind and behaviour so even when you can't dance anymore you will still be a ballet dancer.

I did ballet for ten years.

I loved my friends and sense of belonging to a group. Doing shows was nerve wracking but good fun, especially after the last night and we could party. Most of all I loved the grace and elegance of ballet.

I've been a dancer since I was 5 years old.

I never quit. Ballet is a part of my life and I don't know how to live without it. But I don't love it so much to make a profession out of it, I'm going to college for Musical Theater in the fall. But I just feel like I'm going to miss ballet terribly because I don't know life...
