I Am a Bone Marrow Donor

I Donated Bone Marrow. Now My Daughter Desperately Needs A Donation.

When I was 26, I donated my bone marrow to a friend. My eight year old daughter now needs one. She has ALL (a form of leukaemia) and the leukaemia has stopped responding to treatment. She needs a bone marrow donation. And I can't give it to her (can't match).

    My Marrow Donor Experiences

At the end of June 1997, I recieved a call from the National Marrow Donor Program Registry with which I’ve been registered with for 4 years. To register, I had to give 2 tubes of blood for them to do a partial profile. They said that someone in need of a bone marrow...

I Am Registered To Be A Bone Marrow Donor

Too many people know too little about this, and how important it is to be educated about this issue. Forget everything you know, and do some research yourself, or ask someone about it who knows (like me!), and get registered. You could have the potential to save someones life and...

I Would Do It For Anybody

In the early summer of 2012, when I was 39, we were sitting on the patio waiting for the phone call to inform us of my grandmother's passing. Before that call, there was a call from my father. He informed me that he had a blood disease very much like leukemia. It's called MDS. No...
