    Remembering Our Canadian War Hero's

There are many ways to pay tribute to those who dearly paid the price for the freedom and rights we enjoy today. Some visit a veteran or attend a parade, some may correspond with our fighting troops today, or just watch the History Channel telling their stories. For our family we...

The Perspective of Kids (Origional Play 16 sept 07

I agree with Art Linkletter (some old people like me remember) who had a T.V. show called "Kids Say the Darnedest Things." Here is a recent example of something that several kids were overheard saying about people who served in the military...

    War Stories

My grandfather served in the British Army in The Great War, or World War I as we call it now.  He was wounded and taken prisoner by the Germans. Like most veterans of that conflict he is long since deceased.

Never Knew Him, But I Honour My Grandfather's Memory

I never knew him. He was dead before I was born, and I know him only from my mother's accounts. My mother's father - my grandfather - was a farming man. And he was a hero, fighting in some of the worst fighting of the Pacific War. It was World War II, and the Japanese Empire...

I Was Surprised To Hear This

I was talking to my Grandad one day, and he told me that his uncle fought in WW2 in the Battle of the Bulge, and came back alive! I think when he came back to America, he got a really high honor badge, and my Grandad actually gave me the badge! It's really amazing!
