I just watched my toddler son fall asleep in

his high chair. It was the funniest thing to see, especially since he never sleeps randomly like that. I carried him to bed. I guess bed time is early tonight.

I'm the proud father of a 18 year old young man.

He's the best thing that ever happened to me. All I am today and all I strive to be is because of him. I never really knew what unconditional love was until he came into my life.

My children will always be my top priority.

As they are now adults, I would like to change my mindset (and maybe focus on me more than I do), but it is not possible. Having raised children, they are always your priority I think.

I am watching football with my dad today.

We don't get a lot of time together because we are both busy but I am loving it. Commercial break so thought I'd say hi. :)

Why Is It So Important For A Father To Be In His Daughter's Life?

THIS QUESTION WAS ASKED OF ME BY A YOUNG WOMAN: Why is it so important for a father to be in his daughter's life? After standing there for a few minutes with my jaw hanging down, I finally answered: This question just blows me away. Seriously. You don't know? I don't know the...

Five (yes five) children, all grown. Two grandchildren, very small. I am not a buddy, a pal or distant entity to my children, but a father. I raised them, I educated them, I fed them, clothed them, spent time with them, looked after them and still do. It is not an easy position...

It'd be a blessing to have a child.

I'd prove to everyone I'm not going to be a bad father like mine. I'll have something worth fighting for and I'll love that child more than myself. One day, I'll be the best father possible.

I want to give you the world. So you can be all that you can be. I can. I thought. But I can't teach you happiness unless I am happy myself. I can't teach you how to be a good friend unless I spend time being one. I can't teach you responsibility unless I hold myself accountable...

    I am a father not just a ***** provider.

I've changed diapers, sat in emergency rooms, stayed up late helping with home work, lost sleep worrying, provided a shoulder to cry on, laughed with them, cried with them, prayed for them, and the best word I'm called is when they say "dad". I love my kids.

I have always been touched by the Harry Chapin son “Cat’s in the cradle”. For those of you who don’t know the song, the storyline is about a father who was so busy with his career that he failed to make his child a priority. In his later years, when he wanted to spend...
