It's hard to not judge guys

who don't hold the doors open for ladies or pull out their chairs before they sit. Even more than that, I can't stand when a man is impolite to an elderly person.

Being A Gentleman In A Selfish World

More and more today we are faced with ever increasing selfishness and egotism. Everything from tee shirts to bumper stickers tout "its all about me, deal with it." Many have said chivalry is dead, but I disagree. So what does it mean to be a gentleman in...

Men and women of Experience Project,

it has come to my attention quite recently that "men" and soon to be men, of all ages, have lost the fine act of chivalry and class. So with this account, I have decided to take on the task of changing the way many boys look at women and how they should be treated, and turn...

I was raised in an era where we learned to say please and thank you. An era when a gentleman held open a door for a lady, stood up from the table when a lady entered the room or left the dinner table and offering a lady a ride if she were walking was just that, a ride to her...

I mean, why not? Being a gentleman is nice.

Perhaps it might not get you a lot of girls during middle school when they are chasing for the 'bad boys' but it will be handy in life. Besides it feels nice, and it doesn't make you feel worse than trash qhen you throw other's bags into the toilet bowl.

Challenges. Life is replete with them. Risks, adventure, girls do not seek either good guys or bad guys per se. It's not even about confidence as such. Girls, want challenges. Friends can be made by those who are reliable. However, challenges and fixing them is more of a thrill...

I am a true gentleman as described by Cardinal Newman in Ireland in 1852. 'Hence it is that it is almost a definition of a gentleman to say that he is one who never inflicts pain. This description is both refined and, as far as it goes, accurate. He is mainly occupied in...

    The Way I Was Raised

I grew up in a respectful household. When my parents disagreed, even if things got heated they never crossed the line. You can have passion without losing control of yourself; I have tons. You don't need to say things to your partner that you later wish you hadn't. They instilled...

It's habit. I used to give up my seats on buses for women and senior ladies. Paying for the bill is a must unless the woman INSISTS on helping out....debatable. I'd never let her pay fully though. I would never hit a female...unless she was trying to kill me! :) The world needs...

    It's Not A Gender Thing

Being a Gentleman is defined by how we treat ladies as well as our fellows. It is a code of conduct too often overlooked. I'm on EP to meet people in a spirt of equality where respect rules the conversion and abuse is left in the word that is outside of the keyboard.

It should say, I'm a Southern gentle.

I was raised to say yes sir, yes mam, no sir and no mam. I was raised that a gentleman opens doors for ladies. To give your coat to woman when she is cold or its raining. To treat all women with respect. Its a dying breed, but I will raise my boys to do the same!
