Hi everyone, I really want to be a good daughter in law, but lately I have been having a few problems with my MIL and one issue that has arisen is that she feels like my husband and I are not seeing her enough with our daughter. I thought I would pose a question to see what all the other good daughter in laws do to keep their relationship with their MIL healthy and happy while still having some immediate family time. So here it is: how often do you see your in laws? Any feedback would be appreciated.

hey, well I LIVE with my mother in law, in our culture it's common to live with your in laws for a bit before moving out. yep.... although, i was born and raised in Canada and from a very modern family, my husband (also born and raised in Canada) has parents that are more traditional.
Be happy, even though you have to see your mother in law every day, at least you come to a home you can call yours at night :)

Hi annieC14, thanks for your message you are right. It's always best to look at life from a positive light. We've had progress with our situation and my MIL and I are getting on much better. She still doesn't consider me family, but at least she doesn't ignore me or compalin about me to my sister in law any more. I'll keep persisting, I'm making head way with her. Congratulations on your marriage and I wish you all the best for you and your family's future.
