Ok, Maybe I'm Bragging Just A Bit Here.

Cooking is often a sensual experience. Touch, scent, sight, and smell working together in harmony to create a masterpiece. As I stir cumin into a curry I am transported to a low table surrounded by belly dancers; or when I crumble crystalline tidbits onto my Pumpkin Praline...

    Our Biggest Teachers?

Just curious for feedback from others, who your most influential people were in learning to cook. For me, both my Nannas, my Aunty, and the cooking shows I used to watch growing up on tv. The chefs you may never have heard of, since this was Australian tv in the eighties. There...

    Sometimes I Screw Up Badly

I think cooking is about focus and doing lots of little things well. Sometimes I get a bit sloppy.I have been screwing up a lot lately, but last week I redeemed myself with a tomato, ancho and red pepper soup served with a tapenade.  Simple but good. I cannot wait for summer...

    I Enjoy It

I enjoy cooking for others, seeing their faces when they take a bite.  The expression on their face will say it all.  If it is something that they like you know right away and if it isn't, well you know right away.  lol  I don't like to cook for just me...
