I Am a Male and I Wear Kilts Often In Public

Personal Stories, Advice, and Support 102 People

I have made a decision not to wear trousers any

more. Kilts are the easiest and most publicly acceptable form of male skirt wearing. I do wear skirts and dresses in public as well, but I from now on I shall be going to work mostly in kilts. Then later on when people are used to seeing me in a 'skirt' then I shall graduate to...

I just bought my first kilt.

I am not sure why. I guess I thought it would be comfortable and erotic at the same time. I have worn it out hiking mostly, having purchased it just prior to winter settling in. I am looking forward to wearing it again when things warm up a bit. It is truly just a pleasure...

It's Time For Men to Wear Kilts In Public

I started wearing kilts about 17 years ago and I love wearing them in public.  Kilts and male type skirts are clothing that gives men a choice.  Since women have taken over the wearing of pants, it's high time we males retake our place as kilt wearers and return to the...

I'm sick and tired of being asked by stupid

women, what I'm wearing under my kilt, true scotsman and all that, first off its completely non of their business and secondly it's sexual harrassment, having women helping themselves to have a look is perverted, wrong and is illegal, it's invasion of privacy, NOT funny,it's...

We were supposed to go to the hospital

for my wife today, but because of her health it had to be cancelled. I was going in my Weir kilt and she was going in her Weir skirt. So I was told to go and have a few new years drinks. I wore my kilt all day and got told several times that I really looked smart. In the...

    I wear a kilt everyday,

I have 22 of them all different, 10 5 yarders and 12 8 yard kilts, I'm never ever going back to bifuricated clothing,,if women like trousers that much, then wear them, so they need to stop asking me where my trousers are, I don't have any, OK.

A Skirt Man! As In "i Wear Skirts"!

OK, so there is, and has been a big thing for men to wear short skirts or "Kilts".  I prefer to where long ankle length skirts similar to the Japanese men's style.  Although I have several, my favorites are an olive drab rough fabric, and a dark green canvas...

    Surprising - but maybe not,

too - I live in Texas, and have several utilikilts - and for hiking, camping, being out in nature, they're the BEST - we have some significant Scots ancestry in the family, and often when I was a kid at family get togethers, some of the males from the Kirby side would wear their...

    My Skirts

In December (2012) I shall be 80. When I was 13, a few months after WWII, I saw British soldiers stationed in my hometown, they were from Scotland. I was thrilled by their uniform, the kilt. A few years earlier I saw a copy of R.R.McIan´s copper of a scottish boy in his kilt...

Beautiful warm evening in Cornwall last night.

Temperature about 72. Walked from home to Lizard Point. Most southerly point in mainland Britain. Was wearing my Scottish Kilt as usual. Felt smart and cool in my green Argyle jacket, white shirt and tie. I am amazed how warm my old Argyle jacket is in any wind chill.Definately...

    I haven't had it yet.

On December 31st, we have to go to our hospital some 8 miles away. Unfortunately as my wife is in a wheelchair we will need transport. I said to my wife, will you be wearing your Weir tartan skirt? He reply was "as long as you wear your kilt". It will probably be the semi...
