I Joined The Church Eight Years Ago

On March 20th, 2004 I took a pledge and vow to become a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I have not for one day regretted my situation to join this church. I may have had a rough difficult eight years, but I know that it was for the better. I have...

    Mormon

I believe that Christians and Mormons are about the same thing, but Christians only know half the story. I'm not looking to argue or anything, that's just how I was taught.  However, I be live in God I know Jesus died for us, I can handle the 10 commandments, but in my...

Today I flipped out at a guy

who made an "all Christians are" statement. This is sad because he was speaking in character and I was getting after someone who didn't really mean any harm. More so, it's sad because I couldn't tell, I really couldn't tell. Someone believing what he said is very plausible next...

I joined the church in the April of 2009.

I may not know a lot about the church, but I have enough knowledge to build a strong testimony of this wonderful church. And with that testimony I am excited to have the chance to serve a 2 year mission soon.

To be locked into any system of false teaching,

wrestle with the problems you notice, and eventually go your separate way will result in being treated like a pariah, especially groups such as the JWs and the Mormons, commonly called shunning, it will mean a loss of friends family and in some cases business associates. I...

    I Love This Church

I was born and raised Utah Mormon, never really felt that I fit in with the other kids in the wards I attended. Even picked on a few times. Growing up, I respected my parents and attended church with them, participating in the classes and such. Our family isn't the best at...

Take a Biblical piece of wisdom

and then see the results when misapplied. Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it Proverbs 22:6 In the last 24 hours here in this group taking a good thing and not using it in the right context is why the Cults produce 13-15...

Loving The Pressure Of It Too.

I know, everyone says, "Being mormon is to much pressure, too many rules", But I love the rules of it. I'm ok with anyones opinion, whether they be mormon, catholic, baptist, and so on. I love the rules and think the are reasonable and I am happy to grow up in a mormon home...

    The Great Things

I am an imperfect person living in an imperfect world. I go to a church full of imperfect people and sometimes I want to ask "why?" Then I remember: all the people in this world are trying to find something that will make them happy, and I've found it. I am so incredibly lucky to...

    My Conversion

I was baptized into the church when I was 8 years old. At that time, I didn't realize the significance of what I had just done. I only wanted to follow the example of my parents and older sister. When I reached the seventh grade, however, everything changed. I didn't want to go...

Christmas is a time to remember the birth of

the Savior and renew our appreciation for the great gift of His perfect life and atoning sacrifice. In the scripture accounts of His birth, we find patterns of discipleship--from Samuel the Lamanite, who courageously prophesied of His coming, to the Nephites who looked...

What I don't understand about people

who call themselves "christian" is that they think it is ok to bash other churches. Didn't Jesus teach that we should love our neighbor? How can any of you say you are christian and yet totally disregard this basic teaching. Yes, I am a Mormon, I always have been, and I always...

    I Found My Peace

A few months ago I had a visit from the Missionaries of my local ward.  A friend of mine is a member and she knew I was in a bad place because I couldn't get on with my life after the death of my mom two years ago.  I told them I was looking for peace.  I figured...

Today I went to a Mormon church

Yes, I am a Mormon. Beuller?

Anyone... Beuller? Here is the thing. Many people do not like my religion. At all. And you know, everyone is entitled to their personal opinion but I tend to argue. Because I am extremely stubborn. I have reasons. Plentiful reasons. First of all, people tend to discriminate...

Daily I have to put up with people- some

even my friends who give crap about my religion. I've heard "if I was Mormon I'd commit suicide," "they're such a pain," et cetera... why do people feel the need to do that?
