Today is my oldest son's birthday.

This is the son who was named one of the nation's top ten heroes in 2010. He has been through so much, multiple explosions, having his jaw blown halfway off, his back broken several times, his knees have no cartilage, plus he's had his arm nearly torn off. If you can't figure...

I'm a teen mom. Not the one you see on reality

television, the real one. The one not scared to ask for help, who is doing what's best for her child, and just trying to be the best I can be.

    I know I shouldn't be,

but I am so irritated. My son always wakes up before 7 which is fine whatever, but when you are the one who has to get up with him 7 days a week when his dad is in bed sleeping... That's another story. Granted he works 5 days of it, but I have to stay up, then when he naps in...

When your kids wake you up super early.

You're zombie mode making breakfast and answer the door to a delivery man before realising you're wearing short shorts and a vest with no bra but before you can worry about it the baby has a poo explosion. Wednesday mornings!

    Them Crazy Kids

I once served my kids toasted hot dog rolls for breakfast when I was too tired to make pancakes. This was shortly after my brother and I had a conversation about white trash at Wal-Mart, which our upper-bourgeoisie mentality deemed appropriate to spectate and judge. Later on...

    My Angel - My Miracle

When I was 17 years old, I had completely stopped ovulating. My doctor told me that I could give up on the dream of having a child. I was 17 -- I didn't want a child at that moment. I didn't even have a boyfriend. The doctor wasn't sure if the problem would sort itself out -- or...

Teach children by example not advice.

Give them the tools to have long lasting nurturing relationships. The best gift you could ever give them is your time, not your words.

For years I have thought of my first Mother's

even your child, mine, or hers didn't make it to live with us; I do think that we still deserve the title. There is something, no one talks and knows about, and that is the feeling that finds a girl, settles in her heart and transforms her to a beautiful mom. It is a silent...

Being a mother means having to say no.

A lot. No, you can't have another cookie. No, you can't turn left when the light is red. No, you have to wait since you passed the 2 entrances. No, you do not drive between gas pumps like you're downhill slalom. No, you can't go straight when you're in the left turn only lane...
