I Can't Seem to Stay In One Place...

...and I'm moving again!  Sometime in the next month to three months, I'm moving back in with my two favourite people and their kidlet.  We'll probably be nomads and gypsies after that too. Maybe we can stay nice and comfy for a while though!  But... we all like...

I can't wait to be on the road again.

I feel at home on the road. I love the food and cultures of foreign countries. We were always OTR as children and we loved it. I miss it so much. I've been in one spot for ten years and it's unbelievable it has been this long. I'm a nomad and feel at home anywhere and no where...

I Hate Living In A House

I didn't grow up in a house. I grew up in a wagon with my parents and siblings. We lived in the wagon until my sister Pansy was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis. Then we moved into a house so we would always be close to doctors and a hospital. I've been living in a bricks and...

    Onwards To Adventure!

As I sit here drinking my coffee,

I reflect back on last year, the year I became a traveler. I have always been the type to roam, place to place, no real vision or expectations of the final destination, as long as it took me somewhere other than where I am at the moment. Always chasing the sun as it fades into...

And so I roam. Half my life,

in the dark. ;) The roaming wanderer. With no intended course of destination in mind, it turns. Thoughts given in to the calibrating of oblivion and worn out souls . Not knowing, or even put to thinkable status of where this road may end, or what might be blocking it as i...

    Nomad Way Of Life

When people ask me where I am from that is always a tough one for me. The only response I can deliver is..nowhere. True it sounds like a cop out answer or a maybe even a smart *** remark, but really it is the only one I can come up with. All over is where I am from, and I doubt...

    I Like to Wander Around

I've lived a more nomadic lifestyle for the past 5 years. I had been in a job I hated, was over stressed, overweight, over drinking etc, and I finally grew the courage to leave it all behind and start seeing more of this world. I felt like a caged tiger I guess now that I look...

One Minute I'm Here, Another Minute I'm There

I moved around a lot when I was growing up because my mother was struggling to make ends meet. She was constantly searching for an affordable apartment to live it and a result we ended up changing addresses a lot. I attended 5 elementary schools, but things slowed down when I...

    It's easy to be adventurous.

You simply divest yourself of all material possessions, cut any social ties you might have, and acquire a penchant for risk-seeking behaviour. Being therefore rootless, it's easy to be swept away to exotic destinations -- you just catch a passing whim. I was born in Alaska, a...

    Heart Ache

Hello fellow Nomad, I too have lived like a nomad all my life, moving from one place to the other, I raised my daughter this way, she is now 18. I though she would thrive with moving around, however she has grown to resent it and me. She now wont come with me on my next...

Becoming Nomad, But Keeping My Roots.

At the age of 50, things shifted for me. Now, a year later, I have downsized and am preparing to live life as a minimalist and nomad. I don't think that one has to necessarily be poor and sit around doing nothing, gosh that would be boring. I have prepared my life so that I have...
