I Am a Nurse, and I Love It

Personal Stories, Advice, and Support 43 People

Been working as a telemetry nurse

for several years now before that I was a aide it's a hard job. Today I had a patient dying with end stages of chf and renal failure it was so hard to keep it together. Being a nurse takes commitment and compassion but I wouldn't change it for anything!

Sometimes I really don't want to be a nurse

anymore it's a thankless job where you work yourself to death at least at my job and ever morning it's a meeting about everything wrong! You can't make everyone happy and pain free especially when they're drug addicts, I would rather take care of an actual sick deserving person...

I worked today, the patients were pretty much

all nursing home, confused or very sick. I didn't get to spend Thanksgiving with my family I made sure these patients were taken care of instead. Happy Thanksgiving to those still with their families!
