I Am a Perfectionist

Personal Stories, Advice, and Support 3,376 People

    I was a perfectionist.

(I still I'm sometimes) In my head everything I had to be perfect. The problem is that not matter how I was trying nothing seem (to me) near the perfection. Most of time, I was late to school just because I didn't like the way I did my ponytail. -_- I'm way much better now.

I just realized what I want to achieve in this life – Perfection. I will practice, repeat as much as needed to achieve it in everything I’m doing, that I Love to do. Everything is Possible =j http://youtu.be/j31Wf-R7RM0

    I'm obsessive about perfectionism.

It may take me a little longer to do some things, but it'll be done right. I'm obsessive about many things, and it's not always bad. There's a bright side to it.

Wow. I can't believe how much perfection is

portrayed as a bad thing nowadays. People look down on perfection! It doesn't make any sense! They call it boring if everyone were to be perfect. They say that no one is perfect then double back on themselves and say they are perfect just as themselves. Goons! Obviously you are...

I'm all or nothing. I never seem to match my

As annoying as it can be to some people,

I find this to be one of my greatest traits. Yes, I understand why I can appear as 'difficult', but I simply like things to be a certain way and to be as close to perfect as possible. Is this a problem?

    Dear God. It's frustrating knowing

that perfection isn't possible, and then still striving for it. It's like trying to walk through a wall even though you know damn well it's not possible. You feel like an effing idiot, yet you back up, take a running start and try again (and make a fool of yourself, again).
